Luke and Amber Miller put together a couples shower here in the Dallas area for a few of our closest friends. Amber made a great meal as always and we all enjoyed a few laughs and"the cake".

When Mom, Jennifer, Ruth and I went to the bridal show back in Jan 2008 Al's formal wear had a wheel to spin and you could receive additional discounts depending on what you landed on. Well in the event of spinning you got to take home one of their teddy bears. When I returned home with a bag full of fliers from all the booths...Floyd to a great liking to the teddy bear. It has now been over a year now since the bridal show and Floyd has made this bear last so much longer than any other of his other babies! I have had to sew up eye holes but the tie stayed on. Hmm! I guess this is way of telling us he loves Al's formal wear!

JD and George headed out to create the perfect ensemble for the groom and his men. Cortnie and I made sure they didn't show up in tangerine ruffled suits. I have to say JD's gonna be "smoking" on our wedding day! He has a try-on next weekend...and I can't wait!

6 Months to go!

2009 seemed so far away, but with only 6months to go I'm starting to feel the pressure. A lot has been done in the past year, from choosing a venue to selecting the perfect dress. Now all the little details are left. Choosing flowers and decorations has been my biggest obstacle but I know it will all fall into place...I hope! There's more to come so stay tuned!

Oh how SWEET it is!

The wedding cake has been designed and the flavors selected. Mom and I had our sweet tooth fix when we met with Delicious Cakes in Addison early December. They awarded a large portion of the cake for our wedding. You will love what you see!

Gift Registry

This weekend JD and I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and went crazy registering for gifts. Of course I put JD in charge of the scanner and surprisingly enough he didn't put too many wild requests on the list. It was pretty neat to see the differences in our likes and dislikes. But I think our similarities out-weighed the differences. Although, he did have to talk me into choosing the flatware he chose. We have one more stop to make, but I think I will do that one on my own...I was lucky enough to get 3 hours out of him for bed bath and beyond. I don't wanna push my luck! Oh and just so you know the game chair on the list was a surprise addition that I noticed AFTER we left! The little sneak!

I'm so LUCKY

Last weekend I rounded up my c0-MOH and my mom then headed out to find the perfect wedding dress. Circle Park Bridal awarded me the gown of my choice and the ladies there made it such a wonderful and easy experience. After many dresses and a lot of ooze's and aaaagh's and a few tears I chose "THE" dress. Its perfect for a July wedding.

The Venue

After much searching for the perfect site that best represented JD and I, we have decided to have the ceremony and reception at the Myers Park & Event Center in McKinney, TX. We will have a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the fourth of July. We hope the heat won't keep you away.
