Colorado Honeymoon

8/28/2009 - 9/14/2009

We had an amazing time! Each time we visit it gets better and better. We visited Mesa Verde. Where the early indians settled and built their homes on the mountain cliff-sides. It is so facinating to see how they lived and how we have evolved from those days. We visited four corners: Where New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Arizona all meet. We even got to meet a famous actor. He was featured as an Indian/Mexican extra in movies such as Tin Cup, One life to Live, Blazing Saddles, Three Muskateers and many many more. We spent an entire day on the train from Durango to Silverton. Talk about BREATHTAKING views! (and lots of coal in your teeth) Above all I think my favorite part of the trip was our two day stay at a bed and breakfast just outside of Durango. It was so peacefull and relaxing. They had everything you would need and treated you like royalty. I spent most of my time laying in a hammock in the back yard. During breakfast, the humming birds would fly by, literaly inches from my head. We watched movies at night in our honeymoon suite and enjoyed wine and popcorn for midnight snack. It was just amazing and I really didnt want to leave. We found some of the the best food joints on our trip, thanks to Guy Fieri from Diners Driveins and Dives. Our favorite spot was in New Mexico at Harrys Roadhouse. Try the new mexico blue corn enchiladas...Christmas style. OH MAN! Its to die for!
